1/31/07 - Evans Punctuates UFC Fight Night with Classic KO
Rashad Evans scored a decisive knockout victory over Sean Salmon Friday January 25 Live! from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. A little more than one minute into the second round, Rashad threw a high kick to Sean Salmon’s head, knocking him unconscious. It was a scary scene; however Sean managed to recover a short while later. However, for precautionary measures he was taken to a hospital for further examination. Most recently Sean Salmon posted on a website that he was cleared from the hospital and watched the fight, the first chance he got. Sean admitted that he made some mistakes and acknowledges that he was on the receiving end of a perfectly timed and on point kick, but he definitely feels that he belongs in the UFC. Therefore, on behalf of Team Murcielago, we would like to respectfully wish Sean Salmon and his team continued success with their future endeavors.

Saturday February 17, promoter Ron DeLeon returns with another of his highly entertaining nights of all-action club-fight boxing, this time at the Center Pointe in the Walter French Complex in his home base of Lansing, Michigan.

Lights, camera, action!
Rashad Evans is scheduled to take on Sean Salmon at the next UFC Fight Night LIVE on Spike TV, Thursday, January 25th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, located in Hollywood, FL.
Here we go Team Murcielago fight fans, we are headed to “Hollywood”; Florida that is. Rashad’s next opponent is the tough Sean Salmon who recently signed a three fight deal with the UFC. Sean has an impressive professional mixed martial arts record of 9-1 and most recently won by submission (strikes) on 10/20/06 at the FF-Fightfest8.
Sean is an Olympic Trials qualifier and he had an impressive collegiate resume while wrestling for Ohio State University. Therefore, this is definitely one of those post Big Ten match-ups that you definitely want to watch out for!

The previously announced 11/9/06 fight date, which was to be hosted by the Swinomish Northern Lights Casino featuring Tommy Washington Jr. and Villi Bloomfield, has been cancelled due to his opponent withdrawing from the fight. Needless to say, matchmakers are attempting to locate a replacement.

Tommy Washington Jr. (2-1) is scheduled to battle against the undefeated Villi Bloomfield (6-0). The event will take place at the Swinomish Northern Lights Casino, located in Anacortes, Washington.
Due in part to a shoulder injury; Tommy suffered his first loss of his professional boxing career by decision to the hands of Mike Jones on 10/20/06 at the Palace of Auburn Hills located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. However, he is looking to regain his momentum this Saturday against an undefeated fighter who just so happens to be fighting in his own backyard (The state of Washington.) For this event, Tommy will be accompanied by his long time trainer and father Tommy Washington Sr... Stay tuned for result details.

The fight card will feature seven professional bouts, which will be headlined by Tommy Washington Jr. and Daniel “Pokey” Hicks. Tickets are now on sale!
Special guests include TV Reality stars: The Contender 2 fighters Steve Forbes and Cornelius "K-9" Bundrage. Additionally, Spike TV Season 2 Ultimate Fighter Heavyweight Champion, Rashad Evans.

Murcielago brand name President and Founder Joaquin Rodriguez presently is negotiating a manufacturing and distribution deal with a domestic source. Once finalized, the agreement will guarantee new offerings such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, wristbands, fight/board shorts, jackets and headwear. When asked about the deal, Joaquin expressed that he is optimistically anticipating a holiday and or a first of the year delivery date for the new items. Stay tuned!

September 24th, 2006 - Evans Stops Lambert in the 2nd!
Anaheim, California----For the thousands in attendance and the millions watching across the world, fans got an opportunity to witness what many would consider Rashad Evans best UFC performance to date. Despite his unbeaten record, many fans and critics questioned Rashad’s capability to close a UFC a fight, much less to finish off a seasoned veteran. In any case, Rashad rose to the occasion Saturday night as he stopped Jason Lambert with a knockout at the 2-minute, 22 second mark of the second round in the UFC 63 at Arrowhead Pond.
Many would say that Jason matched Rashad with his technical skills, but the difference was Rashad’s speed and athleticism; as proven with the result of the match. However, there is something that is worthy of being noted, and that is Rashad has systematically tailor made each and every winning fight plan for all of his noted opponents. After all, styles make fights, right?

Once again it’s official Team Murcielago and Rashad Evans fight fans. We are headed back to California; Anaheim’s Arrowhead Pond on Saturday, September 23rd to be exact.
Light Heavyweight contender Rashad Evans is scheduled to battle against tough competitor Jason Lambert at UFC 63. Lambert is 22-5 in MMA. However, despite five losses Jason is undefeated in the UFC Octagon with an impressive 3-0 record. As a result, he is known for his ground-and-pound; as well as his relentless will and determination. However, one interesting fact to note is that Jason is not your typical Rashad Evans adversary. Meaning, he is not your conventional 6’2 or 6’4 opponent; interestingly enough Jason has publicly announced that he is 5’10. For that reason and comparatively speaking, this is considered to be and excellent match up for Rashad. So make no mistakes about it, Team Murcielago is anticipating a dynamic and explosive night of entertainment for you fight fans.

Trainer Joaquin Rodriguez and Tommy Washington Jr. are currently in training camp and they are anticipating an up coming fight in the month of October against a to-be-determined opponent. Meanwhile, Tommy would like to inform his boxing fans that he has returned back to the gym after a short absence. Additionally, contrary to a recent article which was reported by an illegitimate source, Tommy would like to clarify that he is not presently in management negotiations outside of his camp. Henceforth, to further clarify matters; as of this date Tommy Washington Jr. is represented and managed by his Father Tommy Washington Sr. and he is trained by Team Murciealgo Founder and President Joaquin Rodriguez. Team Murcielago would like to announce that MMA and former UFC fighter Noe Hernandez is scheduled to relocate back to Lansing, Michigan so that he can resume his team training. Recently Team Murcielago President and Owner Joaquin Rodriguez expressed his excitement about the news and he has arranged several tentative up coming events and fights, which are to be announced at a later time and date. Lights out for Lightle!
Tommy Washington Jr. showcased his power Saturday June 4, 2006 as he KO’s Shane Lightle in the first round of their scheduled four round bout. The 1,200 fans in attendance rose to their feet as they witnessed Tommy’s leading jab create opportunities for a fury of power punches the sent Lightle to the canvas twice before he was unable to recover from a second eight count. Because of Lightle’s inability to answer the second eight count, the referee quickly stepped in to stop the action. Tommy’s current record is 2-0 with 2 KO’s.
